End Roll Fabrics

Sold By The Pound

11/20/2007:  We have received a number of telephone calls and e-mails about the availability of pound goods.  At this time, we have no plans to stock new fabric by the pound.  As many of you know, most textile manufacturing has been moving off-shore.  This makes it difficult (if not impossible) for us to source mill ends.   Even when we locate a source, we are unable to obtain the pretty florals, prints and solids that most people prefer when weaving or crocheting.  While we will continue to look for sources, we do not anticipate continuing availability of pound goods.  Most of the fabrics below are still available - please call us to order.  Thank you.  in-weave

For more information, contact us at inweave@acsnet.com or inweave2@acsnet.com or at 1-800-646-9328 (9 to 5 Mon-Friday preferred).

What are End Roll Fabrics?

End Roll Fabrics, also called Factory Mill Ends, Fabric By The Pound, Rag Rug Fabric or Rag Coils are fabrics that range in width from 1" to 33". They have a cardboard center cone and are sold by the pound. They are used primarily in making traditional rag rugs by weavers, crocheters and other rugmakers. They are also used by crafters and quilters.

Most of our end rolls are lightweight polycottons. Some end rolls are corduroy, jacquards or other fabrics; however, those fabrics are generally noted.

Please note: Many of the end rolls pictured below are fairly large patterns. We have tried to scan the fabric with the selvege side on either the right or left hand side of the photo. That means that the up and down pattern should continue to repeat. On larger prints it also means that if you have the fabric cut (or cut it yourself), the entire pattern shown below would not necessarily be in the cut.  If you are ordering pre-cut fabric and specifically want certain colors, please be clear at the time you order.

Shipping Charges

Our pricing structure on End Roll Fabrics is given below. Shipping is not included in these prices. Actual shipping charges from zip code 51023 to your destination will be applied. For UPS shipping (used to most areas of the continental U.S.), your best shipping values are on 65# of fabric (this will be a 70# box) or 200# (we can apply hundredweight pricing).

On large quantities of fabric (more than 500#), we work with a freight carrier to obtain your best shipping costs.

We offer an introductory special for new customers that includes shipping; however, it does not permit selection of individual fabrics (longer description given below).

Current Pound Good Prices

The Fabrics are divided into Categories A, B, C, D, E

We Offer Super Low Prices On The Jacquard Fabrics Shown In Category A. These Are Fabulous For Strip Quilting or For Quilted Designs – They Look Rich and are usually Smooth, somewhat Satin-like Fabrics. Sorry, Given The Low Price of These Fabrics, We Can Only Offer A Mixture of Colors and Patterns, We Can’t Allow You To Specify Colors and Patterns. Pillows take just ½# of Jacquard Fabric. Queen Comforter Tops Take About 7# -- A Great Way To Stretch Quilting $$$. Jacquards Can Also Be Used For Weaving And Crocheting; However, They Do Fray More Easily Than Polycottons.

The Fabrics In Categories B, C and D Are Lightweight Polycottons (Unless Otherwise Marked). You May Choose The Approximate Number of Pounds You Would Like Of Each Specific Fabric (Use Fabric #). There Are A Few Fabrics [B-88, B-89, C-90 and B-205 and all Wheels (marked with a W)] that come only in large rolls or wheels (25# to 50# each) – sorry, these are available only by the full roll or wheel, they cannot be cut or divided into smaller amounts.

The Fabrics in Category E are also lightweight polycottons (unless otherwise marked).  They are priced at $2.75/pound.  Quantity Discounts do NOT apply to these fabrics; however, we will include the weight of your Category E fabrics in determining the price of your Category A, B, C and D fabrics.  Most of the fabrics in Category E came to us in rolls that are approximately 28" in width.  We will cut them to about 5" to 7" (our choice) without additional charge; however, if you would like to specify the width, the pre-cut charge will be added.

The Price Of Your Fabric Will Be Determined Based On The Total Number Of Pounds You Purchase From All Categories. For Example, If You Buy 50# of Mixed Jacquards from Category A; 50# of Your Choice from Category B; 50# of Your Choice from Category C; and 50# of Your Choice from Category D, the pounds in each category would be billed at the 200# price for the category. The Jacquards would be 50# x 50’ = $25; the Category B fabrics would be 50# x $90’ = $45; the Category C fabrics would be 50# x $1.40 = 70 and the Category D fabrics would be 50# x $2.00 = $100. The total for all your fabric would be $25 + $45 + $70 + $100 = $240 plus shipping for 200# of Fabric!

For greatest savings, choose fabrics from category A and B. For a wider selection, add some from Categories C & D and E. You mix and match as you prefer.

Prices Do Not Include Shipping. Prices Apply Only to Goods Taken As is – Not Cut To Width Or Reduced For Size of Roll. Cutting is not available on fabrics in category A & B. For fabrics in categories C & D, 30’ per pound will be charged for cutting to a specific width.
