We've been selling striped trimmings rugs (sometimes called rustic rugs) like those shown above at shows throughout the upper Midwest.  They sell incredibly well - sales in the summer of 2005 were consistently up 10% or more over 2004 and sales have held steady in 2006 despite hot, dry weather.

Colors of trimmings are very current because they are from upholstery being manufactured now.  Rugs woven from trimmings have a textured "shaggy" appearance.  They can still be machine washed/dried.

To weave striped rugs like those shown above, we strongly recommend that you purchase at least 200# of trimmings in a variety of colors.    200# of trimmings will make approximately 50 rugs in a 28" x 42" size.
